Oh the Bridgeman's were punished for treating Jersey worse than a an unwanted dog: Jersey died anyway even though her "loving family" was in prison. Jana Bridgeman is serving a 12-year prison sentence, & did get slammed for another 3 years for a probation revocation. Bio-Daddy David Bridgeman earned himself an 18-year visit to some hard time: but no one was really looking out for this child. Placed elsewhere "safely"with her mother DesaRae, her situation deteriorated & now little Jersey is dead.

For professional reasons, our Guess model uses the moniker: Dannielynn Birkhead. In modelling it is important to keep it short. I hope she lasts longer than Jersey Bridgeman. I do not approve of selling children for cash, & the back story of Dannielynn is quite frightening without sexualizing her for commercial purposes so young. Her mother would be proud, I am sure: Vickie Lynn always craved publicity. And Larry Birkhead is just pimping out Dannielynn to "honor" her late mother. This was an obviously bad idea as DesaRae had a 30 month old half sibling in the house already AND worked nights so she was not available to take adequate care of either the fragile Jersey or the toddler. Women who work nights & sleep during the days are not bad people per se: just not able to put a lot of time into parenting. So DesaRae turned to a neighbor to provide childcare as she was in need of someone to co-parent her 2 bio-children while she slept as well as worked. The neighbors were married, which made them seem stable compared to the life style of either biological parent as well as agreeable to this arrangement. I do feel certain that cash was an incentive as well.
In addition DesaRae was "friends" with Amanda Holly, the wife of the person who subsequently raped & killed young Jersey. Oh the school "officials" were on top of things as well. Please notify of them their grade "F", lowered to "I" for Idiots. In their press release: school officials say she was still a happy little girl. Uh, how did they miss the part where in a very high profile case the "happy" carefree 6 year old Jersey was the subject of a really depressing child abuse investigation, as well as criminal proceedings finished off with major jail sentences? Jersey was most likely to be "happy" anywhere other than places where she was chained up & starved.

I hope that someday the welfare of children like Jersey Bridgeman is monitored through co-ordinated efforts with the school as well as Child Protective Services including a lot of unscheduled home visits to determine what is really happening in the lives of these vulnerable little ones. That is part of their job performance duties: not an expectation that requires more effort on their own time.
The reason why I am always appalled as well as infuriated when school teachers, principals, child care aides fail to notice or act appropriately in situations such as the short life of Jersey Bridgeman as required by law is because I come from a family of public school teachers into every one's business for the right reasons. In the case of my mother, who taught 3rd grade: she was involved in the lives of the children she encountered as well as their parents all the time, before the law permitted such interventions to take place. Technical term: self appointed busybody.
In an event that was so shocking in the aftermath, my mother was extremely frightened by one of her pupils as the behavior of this young girl was that of a vicious sociopath. Unable to convince the parents to remove her from school, unable to persuade the school officials to act to protect other children: the inevitable took place. The child in question suggested that a classmate look into a sink as if something intriguing was located inside the interior.
There was nothing to see inside the sink other than gasoline placed there by this seemingly "nice" little girl. As the other child peered in, the student my mother had warned everyone about to no avail tossed in a lighted match. The flames then engulfed the victim of this "prank" causing third degree burns. Although she survived, permanent physical as well as emotional scarring was ever present. That is a true story which will always be more than just a childhood memory to me.
Other children would stare at her disfigurement, make nasty cruel remarks & she was never invited over to play. Except at our house, as my mother insisted that my older sister, who was the same age was to never have a sleep over or any kind of party without making sure that a certain little girl was made to feel that she was the guest of honor. As the younger sister, I learned that there was an older friend of my sister who had been in a terrible accident but was equally bossy. Also, that some kids are really little evil monsters just like my mother said & also dangerous.
In more unsurprising news, my actual younger sister decided to become an elementary school teacher at a public school. No one ever thinks she is my younger sister because she has blue eyes & blonde hair. As the baby of the family, she aspired to eventually become the bossy one which was a role my older sister had already acquired & fulfilled with grandeur. I come from a tough crowd where you snooze you lose was the basic philosophy in place.
My younger sister plotted & studied a path to glory of some other kind. Ruling a group of 4th graders was not challenging enough so she was upgraded to Assistant Principal. Things got worse, as they always do in the heated sibling rivalries among 3 sisters who never resorted to simple ways of getting an edge such as hair pulling or name calling. The public school system in Baltimore County, Maryland (a real place) decided to build a "model" school & put the most ambitious power hungry former baby sister in charge of the entire project from blueprints to computers. Teachers, Principals,Coaches,Child Care Aides are all required by law in Maryland to report any behavior that would lead a reasonable person to suspect that a child is being exposed to neglect, abuse or sexual abuse. My sister and her staff are on duty 24/7 making sure that a "clumsy" bruised or underweight child is not an abused kid in a vulnerable situation.There is no excuse for who were entrusted with the safety & well being of the now dead 6 year old Jersey Bridgeman not making it their business to know that she was struggling during her visits to her bio-dad & stepmother as usually children are not chained up at night to "prevent" wandering looking for food.
The signs are obvious: expect weight loss, exhaustion, lacerations, marks that indicate the use of handcuffs, chains or ropes as well as a change in attitude as well as appearance. Children who over a period of time become dirty, disheveled & have difficulty concentrating during school need their teachers to notice & take action to make sure that issues at home are not the cause of a downward spiral. It is too late to save Jersey Bridgeman, please let her death stand for something positive. This horrific tale of a little girl forever lost should be a call to arms from those who vote, advocate for children at risk, would not approve of a puppy being chained at night & starved to demand that politicians & legislators put more $$$ into the system that is supposed to be a "safety net".

Your local Department of Social Services can supply those interested with "Secret Santa" lists of vulnerable children who yearn for someone to care about them. Another great way to help is to donate supplies to your local women's shelter where the battered wives & the starved children could use simple items of Holiday Cheer: diapers, clothing, shampoo as well as new sheets & some fun toys. Everyone is capable of reaching out to those in need. This is The Season To Show Your Love.
Back to work here, I have not been blogging as I have been shopping at the usual places, T.J. Maax, Marshalls as well as Loehmanns looking for family "Holiday Season Gifts". Maralee Clark is a very astute shopper who once combined a coupon with a selection from the marked down section at DSW Shoes to obtain a pair of pumps that matched a suit she already owned for FIFTY CENTS. That achievement was so remarkable I will never match it. No one ever will, she should have her own reality show where she demonstrates not only how to be the Best Blue Ribbon Public Elementary School Principal in Maryland as well as the best bargain shopper in her extremely limited "spare time." Seriously, she has not got any spare time so I still don't know how that shoe thing happened. I once spotted her at Hunt Valley Mall where she was shirking momentarily by sitting down on a bench.
Anyway, after a frenzied tour of all possible venues of Over The Top Holiday Gifts as she works unbelievably hard all the time, I located 2 items for a surprise presentation this weekend. My younger sister was genuinely thrilled at the mere sight of what I gave her & promptly hid the items in the back of her car. Her staff will be stunned when she delivers these gifts as one of them is intended for school use. As she dashed out she yelled, "My older sister really loves me!" Hint, people like you Superintendent Mike Poore enable further victimization by doing nothing, knowing nothing: oblivious to the circumstances of that happy little kindergarten child. Her case was very well known if you read newspapers, watch televison news or listen to the radio, Superintendent Mike Poore. Gee, what are your job responsibilities in Bentonville, Arkansas? Do you have a football pool going or something more important that the safety of little kids under your care at school?
HEY MIKE POORE: I AM NOT KIDDING YOU! WHY DID NO ONE AT HER SCHOOL CARE?
I hope that someday the welfare of children like Jersey Bridgeman is monitored through co-ordinated efforts with the school as well as Child Protective Services including a lot of unscheduled home visits to determine what is really happening in the lives of these vulnerable little ones. That is part of their job performance duties: not an expectation that requires more effort on their own time.
The reason why I am always appalled as well as infuriated when school teachers, principals, child care aides fail to notice or act appropriately in situations such as the short life of Jersey Bridgeman as required by law is because I come from a family of public school teachers into every one's business for the right reasons. In the case of my mother, who taught 3rd grade: she was involved in the lives of the children she encountered as well as their parents all the time, before the law permitted such interventions to take place. Technical term: self appointed busybody.
In an event that was so shocking in the aftermath, my mother was extremely frightened by one of her pupils as the behavior of this young girl was that of a vicious sociopath. Unable to convince the parents to remove her from school, unable to persuade the school officials to act to protect other children: the inevitable took place. The child in question suggested that a classmate look into a sink as if something intriguing was located inside the interior.
There was nothing to see inside the sink other than gasoline placed there by this seemingly "nice" little girl. As the other child peered in, the student my mother had warned everyone about to no avail tossed in a lighted match. The flames then engulfed the victim of this "prank" causing third degree burns. Although she survived, permanent physical as well as emotional scarring was ever present. That is a true story which will always be more than just a childhood memory to me.
Other children would stare at her disfigurement, make nasty cruel remarks & she was never invited over to play. Except at our house, as my mother insisted that my older sister, who was the same age was to never have a sleep over or any kind of party without making sure that a certain little girl was made to feel that she was the guest of honor. As the younger sister, I learned that there was an older friend of my sister who had been in a terrible accident but was equally bossy. Also, that some kids are really little evil monsters just like my mother said & also dangerous.
In more unsurprising news, my actual younger sister decided to become an elementary school teacher at a public school. No one ever thinks she is my younger sister because she has blue eyes & blonde hair. As the baby of the family, she aspired to eventually become the bossy one which was a role my older sister had already acquired & fulfilled with grandeur. I come from a tough crowd where you snooze you lose was the basic philosophy in place.
My younger sister plotted & studied a path to glory of some other kind. Ruling a group of 4th graders was not challenging enough so she was upgraded to Assistant Principal. Things got worse, as they always do in the heated sibling rivalries among 3 sisters who never resorted to simple ways of getting an edge such as hair pulling or name calling. The public school system in Baltimore County, Maryland (a real place) decided to build a "model" school & put the most ambitious power hungry former baby sister in charge of the entire project from blueprints to computers. Teachers, Principals,Coaches,Child Care Aides are all required by law in Maryland to report any behavior that would lead a reasonable person to suspect that a child is being exposed to neglect, abuse or sexual abuse. My sister and her staff are on duty 24/7 making sure that a "clumsy" bruised or underweight child is not an abused kid in a vulnerable situation.There is no excuse for who were entrusted with the safety & well being of the now dead 6 year old Jersey Bridgeman not making it their business to know that she was struggling during her visits to her bio-dad & stepmother as usually children are not chained up at night to "prevent" wandering looking for food.
The signs are obvious: expect weight loss, exhaustion, lacerations, marks that indicate the use of handcuffs, chains or ropes as well as a change in attitude as well as appearance. Children who over a period of time become dirty, disheveled & have difficulty concentrating during school need their teachers to notice & take action to make sure that issues at home are not the cause of a downward spiral. It is too late to save Jersey Bridgeman, please let her death stand for something positive. This horrific tale of a little girl forever lost should be a call to arms from those who vote, advocate for children at risk, would not approve of a puppy being chained at night & starved to demand that politicians & legislators put more $$$ into the system that is supposed to be a "safety net".
"Save the next child" is the slogan some advocates have dubbed this approach. I wish no other child ever falls into this category, please think of them when you are doing your Holiday Shopping. Your local Department of Social Services can supply those interested with "Secret Santa" lists of vulnerable children who yearn for someone to care about them. Another great way to help is to donate supplies to your local women's shelter where the battered wives & the starved children could use simple items of Holiday Cheer: diapers, clothing, shampoo as well as new sheets & some fun toys. Everyone is capable of reaching out to those in need. This is The Season To Show Your Love.
Back to work here, I have not been blogging as I have been shopping at the usual places, T.J. Maax, Marshalls as well as Loehmanns looking for family "Holiday Season Gifts". (The public schools are careful to not exclude anyone by labeling the season as Winter Holiday as opposed to when it was called Christmas vacation, when I attended elementary school 110 years ago.) In the case of my younger sister, the National Blue Ribbon Principal of Woodholme Elementary finding the right gift is very challenging.
Maralee Clark is a very astute shopper who once combined a coupon with a selection from the marked down section at DSW Shoes to obtain a pair of pumps that matched a suit she already owned for FIFTY CENTS. That achievement was so remarkable I will never match it. No one ever will, she should have her own reality show where she demonstrates not only how to be the Best Blue Ribbon Public Elementary School Principal in Maryland as well as the best bargain shopper in her extremely limited "spare time." Seriously, she has not got any spare time so I still don't know how that shoe thing happened. I once spotted her at Hunt Valley Mall where she was shirking momentarily by sitting down on a bench.
Anyway, after a frenzied tour of all possible venues of Over The Top Holiday Gifts as she works unbelievably hard all the time, I located 2 items for a surprise presentation this weekend. My younger sister was genuinely thrilled at the mere sight of what I gave her & promptly hid the items in the back of her car. Her staff will be stunned when she delivers these gifts as one of them is intended for school use. As she dashed out she yelled, "My older sister really loves me!" I do, so please accept my apology for not getting much done blogwise this weekend.

As her life here on Earth was so devoid of love.
She is an Angel, her suffering must not be forgotten.
Readers here must let Politicians know $$$ are needed.
Endangered vulnerable children are still out there.
The "safety net" did nothing to aid this beautiful child.
Abused children have no $$, no political clout, no lobbyists.
